After the launch animation appears, go to the Settings at the top right of the screen, then toggle "Disable Blastoff Screen". This will make your app launch directly to the updates list.

Space Launches / Shutter Speed Apps gets most of its data from The Space Devs and we are a proud Patron and provide monthly support for our data which enables us privileged API access with high limits to get you the data and updates you need promptly and accurately.

At Shutter Speed Apps we're software engineers and work on API servers for a living. We set out on a passion project surrounding the TimeLapsed App which is our flagship IOS app. During development of TimeLapsed, we built a NodeJS server that has a completely custom aggregator that pulls launch information from The Space Devs. This then optimizes the data and sends it to Apple CloudKit which is the database the Space Launches App and TimeLapsed App uses. Using CloudKit we can connect your device to the data and provide you with the most up-to-date information on rocket launches including Push Notifications.

Most data is updated hourly, unless there is a launch about to begin. Once a launch enters a 2 hour window, it's checked every 10 minutes. Once the 10 minute window has been met, it's checked every minute until Launch, then every 5 minutes until the mission is complete. You don't need to refresh your feeds, they will automatically update as using CloudKit we can connect your device to the data and provide you with the most up-to-date information on rocket launches including Push Notifications.

TimeLapsed App has special modes to launch the TimeLapse Camera and impose the rocket launch data on the camera for you to see in real time. It uses a shared database with Space Launches, but the Space Program in TimeLapsed is meant to be only for TimeLapsing. Continued Development of the Space Program in TimeLapsed will be limited, as Space Launches App will be the new home for all things Space at Shutter Speed Apps.
